Yes sir, I do agree with you that I made a personal attack, and that there is no need for it. That is really why I have made an effort not to come to VJ very often and post. Cause sometimes I engage in personal attacks and it is just no right. I am sorry for that, and I agree with your advice.

The only thing I am not so sure I agree with is he is a good man. Of what I have read from his convictions, that I doubt. But I will give you the benefit of the doubt here, and There is NO need for personal attacks, which I use too often.

Fox' polls are generally quite questionable. I wouldn't make an exception for this one.

Nor am I. But I thought the right-wingers might enjoy it - they seem to think FauxNews is reputable...

I realize FOX News can be somewhat sensationalist at times (it's a news channel -- it does what it needs to get viewers; it's all a very calculated business these days), but FOX is no more or no less reputable or reliable than CNN or MSNBC is in the American media.

In other words, if someone wishes to get "all of the facts," they need to rely on more than one source. This is why I tend to watch all three of them. It's good to get a wider perspective. If I could, I'd also watch the BBC and CBC too.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Fred Thompson got into the Republican race with great expectations. And sure enough, just after he got in last month, polling showed Thompson and Rudy Giuliani were just about tied for front-runner.

Fred Thompson's support in the polls has slipped.

But since then, Thompson's taken a lot of flak for a lackluster campaign from party activists in Iowa and New Hampshire.

Support for his campaign has also wavered. The new CNN poll by the Opinion Research Corporation released Tuesday shows Thompson's support dropping -- now at 19 percent, down from 27 percent in September.

He's now running second, slightly ahead of Sen. John McCain, R-Arizona, who has 17 percent. Giuliani, the former mayor of New York, still leads with 27 percent.
