Hi folks,

My wife has her AOS/EAD Biometrics appt for next Wednesday the 25th here at the USCIS Pulaski ASC. We had prior arrangements to fly to New York the day before and we can't get out of the trip...

I mailed them a request for rescheduling asking veeery politely to reschedule for the following week. In my research here at other members' experiences I have yet to come across any ASC Chicago information as to rescheduling these appointments and the appointment letter does not state any alternative information for showing up on a 'walk-in' basis other than just rescheduling. My wife has a friend in New York that had a delay of 6 months in getting this appointment rescheduled and I believe that is not supposed to be the way things are done if the order of applications is to be preserved... so if anyone has had any experience with this particular center please share.

Thanks

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

And just to clarify, I am interested in taking the copy I made of the appt letter and going before the NYC trip to see if they tell us our rescheduled appt date (assuming they don't get to the request today or this week)... or going just after we return in case they decide to "push" our appt date farther out than is logically anticipated.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

Well, we went today, a few days before the scheduled appt. They told us they couldn't do it today but to come back on a Wednesday AFTER the appointment. So we'll go on Wednesday October 31. Word to the wise- be careful with rescheduling appointments as it appears that this particular ASC only reschedules once a month... it pays to show up and be *really* polite.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.
