The despair. I'm sad about what happened in Texas yesterday. Not just because I was rooting for the Cowboys and I really detest the Patriots.

The season is over, at least for the NFC. What is the point of the NFC anymore? Dallas is the best team in the NFC and they got murdered IN Texas. At least had it been in New England we could claim that the Home Field advantage helped, but no. They had to go and humiliate the NFCs best, making it clear that the Super Bowl is once again going to belong to the AFC.

The only game worth looking forward to now is the Colts vs the Patriots- that and to see if the Pats can go undefeated, but the Super Bowl is done now.

And why are the Patriots so good in this day and age??? What happened to Free agency and the salary cap?!!!! There isn't supposed to be any more dynasties!! How do they keep convincing the elite players to go to the NorthEast?

I am an old AFL supporter so pull for the AFC. They lost 17 or so super bowls in a row so it is good to see them doing better.

A well-run, tightly-run franchise, strong fan base, and the consistent opportunity to be in the playoffs, based on a legacy of winning. The latter being the bigger carrot.
