How long for citizenship?

So here's a quick update. I am considering becoming a police officer or sheriff. However to do this you must be a US Citizen. I am trying to get a long term goal planned. How long from the date my Permanent resident card to the date I could potentially become a US Citizen? Are there any kind of fast-tracks? Do I need a green card for a certain period first?

Thank you in advance. I'd be happy to answer any questions to clarify anything. :)

To become a USC you can apply 90 days before the 3rd anniversary of the date you were approved for your Greencard if you are married to a USC....

Is that three years from the time the conditional GC is issued or three years after the conditions are lifted?

Three years from the date you are approved as a PR... does not matter if you get a conditional (2 year) or unconditional (10 year) Greencard...
