Looks like the medical fees may have gone up at St. Lukes.

Can't find anything official on it tho.

Pinay reported she had to pay $145 US kahapon. Claims new fees are $145 for adults and $117 for kids effective kahapon.

Claims raise is because of more screening for TB.

Packet still says $95.

I guess it will soon "come out in the wash"!

I just browsed the USEmbassy site and it didn't say any changes on medical exam fees for St. Lukes. Maybe its not update yet. The best way is to contact St. Lukes first about the fees before going there for medical examination.

The St. Luke’s Extension Clinic is located at 1177 J. Bocobo St., Ermita, Manila, telephone 521-0020 and 521-8647.

I certainly think if there will be any fee hikes, they will let everyone know ahead of time. I have not heard anything about this, so I guess thats unofficial.

Well it's not official BUT!

Here's a post from WOF.

hello everyone. i just had my medical exam today at St. Luke's. I was there at 6:00am and done at 2:30pm. It is smooth sailing, friendly people, very warm and approachable.. i still have my interview next Monday.. so i'm waiting for it.. hopefully with God's grace i'll be approved..

anyways, just to update everyone here, the medical fee is already $145 (and not $95 fo adults as stated in the packet) and $117 for children. The increase is effective today. The adjustment in the package fee is due to the changes in medical procedures as stipulated in 2007 Technical Instruction for TB Screening and Treatments from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and has been agreed upon with the Embassy of the US in Manila. They don't accept dollar payments. In pesos, I paid P6,525.00 in total.

It would suck if someone showed up short on pesos!

The current international rate is 43.6 pesos per dollar so that still is a little break.

I tried calling but couldn't get thru. busy signals on both numbers. perhaps someone else can get thru or someone who just had medical can verify. I might be lucky I didn't get thru. my wife might be mad I used up some of her Philippine calling minutes.
