We filed June 1st '07 - They recieved it June 6 '07 in TCS and it was forwarded to CSC ( now this gets confusing) We were sent an original I-797 NOA1, but never recieved it in the mail and so I called USCIS & State Senators office and found out that it was "originally mailed soon after it was recieved but never arrived here" this is from CSC, the reason I know this is because we were assigned already a Case# prior to 8/28/07.

What I did was go online and make sure my address etc. were correct (and it was) 1) I checked case number first. 2) created an account at USCIS (recommended by a uscis customer service person).

So, then finally the NOA1 was received here . But is marked 8/28/07 for the notice date (????)

I suppose really my question is will they use their original date mailed for the NOA1, whatever that was, or use the 8/28/07 a the actual notice date of the NOA1?

Thanks..just going crazy here is all

The receipt date is June 6th ( thats the date the receive your petition), They send NOA1 on August 8, 2007(this is the actual date they sent your Notice). I can't find any problem with that, the date is not a problem the important number is your case number. Just relax, dont' stress yourself they are already processing your case. Good luck.

ok, the NOA1 that was finally recieved was a "Replacement Receipt Notice", somehow the original didnt make it to my address. And my address was correct in every detail. So this date is a date that doesnt actually reflect when the actual notice was originally sent. I suppose that was all I was trying to say.

Yeah, I dont need to be stressed....its not easy though. THANKS
