I-134 Question

For the I-134 "Statement of Employer" what have people used. I work for a university in a staff capacity. Is this something I could type up myself and have signed by my immediate supervisor, or do I need to walk over and try to find someone in HR that will do this for me?

Also, since I'm NOT self-employed, I don't need paystubs or copies of tax returns, etc.?

All i need is:

1. Statement from an officer of my bank, with date account opened, total amount deposited in the past year, and the present balance

2. Statement from employer with the date and nature of my employment, salary, and that my position is permanent

3. The I-134 signed and notarized

I also don't have any bonds, so I don't have to worry about that part. Also, I just need to check "Do not intend," for the specific contributions, right?

I think the university HR department is quite familiar with this kind of stuff -- ask them for a record of employment, or, if they have online services, you may be able to print it out yourself.

As per the transcripts je ne sais pas, since it's an I-134..... wisdom people??????

My husband just asked his boss for a letter. His boss didn't really know what the heck was needed on it, so Gene wrote one up, on company letterhead, and his boss signed it. This is what it basically said:

On Letterhead

Date:

To: Whom it May Concern,

Mr. Blahblahblah, is employed as a Blahblahblah at the Blahblahblah. Mr. BlahBlahblah is employed in a full time position and is paid an annual salary of Blahblahblah. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me at : Blahblahblah

Respectfully submitted,

BlahBlahBlah

Just something simple is all that sufficed. When it came time for AOS, he just used the same letter, changed the date etc. and got his boss to sign it again.
