I thought I had sent enough evidence... but apparently not. I got fingerprinted back in February and I thought all was going well..

This is what I sent: Joint bank statements, joint health insurance, drivers license showing same address, 4 boarding passes showing 2 trips we took together, both of our salary pay stubs to the same address, 3 letters of friends, lots of pictures with us and friends, tax statements and a lot more.. apparently not good enough.

2 questions:

1) what happens if I get denied a second time? I think this is highly unlikely because we really DO have a genuine relationship but...

2) Is it ok to cross out the amounts on the bank statements? I mean, its really not their business to see the #, or is it?

Thanks

You weren't denied, the USCIS just wanted additional information. Provide them with the missing documents. Good luck

Did the RFE state which piece they are specifically looking for? If it's just a general RFE try to accumulate as much as you can.

The thing that stands out from the short list you provided is that you didn't include any utility bills, nor provided anything for the place you live (rental agreement, house deed, mortgage). Even if these things are only in one name, provide it now (may-be add a short explanation of why some things are only in one name).

All the best!

They will not deny you through mail. You might have to go to an interview. If they are even more suspicious, they might question you separately in that interview. In the end, you have nothing to worry about if your marriage is indeed genuine.

they said that the tax return I provided where from us to IRS not from IRS to us. So anyone can send in anything. When I got the US all the stuff was already set up, utility bills etc. I didn't really see the sense in having me added to a gas or cable bill. Oh well, I should have known better. I am really not worried. Because a) our relationship is real and b)if I really get sent home (to beautiful Switzerland) my hubby said he would of course come with me. So nothing to loose :-D

Thanks ! That is useful :-)

All you need to do is call IRS and get tex transcripts faxed to you.... thats what we did, it seems that they prefer the transcripts over copies of your tax return...

You can get the number to call off the IRS website...

Good Luck

How come you are applying for Citizenship already? I thought you need 5yrs in the country to do that?! Not that that is on my priority list right now as I am about to be kicked out! lol
