My husband will be having his interview in the next 2 weeks. Is it ok if we could just use the past 3 months pay stabs instead of employment verification letter?

Usually, yes. Neither are actually required unless they are asked for during the interview. Both serve pretty much the same purpose.

Ok so if I am reading right, it should be ok to send the AOS form, the last 3 years tax returns, and that is it? An employment letter and paycheck stubs are on an as needed basis?

My only q with that is this. If the consulate officer at the interview says that you need that paperwork, what happens then? Is another interview rescheduled with your husband's paperwork staying at the consulate? Is it like an RFE situation where it just sits until you supply the needed documentation?

In the Philippines, usually, when an applicant was asked to provide additional documents during the interview and they don't have it at that time, they will be asked to come back and submit those documents as soon as they can. After submission, it may take 2 weeks or more for review (AR) before they release the visa. Good Luck!

I am new to this site. I am in the process of filing a K1 Visa for my fiance in Vietnam. I have not seen any information regarding my financial situation or tax return history. Is this a different type of visa or process that you are speaking of here in this section?

Thank you. Your answer will be appreciated.
