mmmm spinach pie!!! I've never seen it without the phillo dough.

I don't know what the heck got into me this morning but all of a sudden I started cleaning out my bureaus and the next thing I knew I was cleaning out my closet. Now I have piles of clothes that I don't want to go to Goodwill and stuff to be put away and stuff to be tossed but I don't feel like doing any of it. :crying: The good news though is that now my husband has an entire bureau for himself as well as the entire left side of the closet, with a fleece sweatshirt already hanging up in there all lonely n stuff.

I don't know about you guys but my house tends to produce so much trash! I mean containers that are empty, packaging that stuff comes in, etc. I must throw out about 8 bags/week!!!!!

Hubby is starting a new business on the side to supplement the one he already has so he's pumped about that. He's in it with another friend and the friend is doing all the start up work, etc. and all hubby has to do is sell the stuff and get a commission. Pretty much win win since he already has the clients from his own business and he doesn't have to do much extra work. cha ching! :)

OMG I had rack of lamb thanks to sarah last night since she put the idea in my head and it was sooo good. It was the first time I cooked it and it's so easy!!! Rack of lamb, tomatoes stuffed with veggies and key lime pie. YUM! I'll post the recipes in the recipes in the recipe section.

Melissa!!!! Don't you dare EVER give up on your dreams! Without dreams there would be no Eiffel tower, no Leaning Tower of Pisa, no Sistine Chapel! Girl, you just keep on dreaming, because one day, you are going to wake up and Hassan will be beside you. XOXOXOXOXOXO

That sounds delish, Doodles ! I'll be looking for your recipes.....

Good for your general making-room-for-hubby/jettisoning of accumulated ####### :P:thumbs: You never know -- he could suddenly get the visa this week... insha'allah..... but at least whenever he comes, he now has a place to put his stuff !

Can't wait to see your rack of lamb recipe Doodle. Sarah has been coming up with some good stuff lately... I used the extra cheese sauce from those devilish potatoes on some chips the following night.

We started shopping for gifts for the trip so it seems like the trip is official.

Easing back into work this week with a few 2-3 hour days. Won't be back to full time until mid november.

WOM- you once posted a recipe for fatayer...I can't find it now. I have a book recipie, but I wanted to make yours...still have it? Anybody else remember where its posted?

At your service, Dawn !

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...ite=%2Bfataayer

.... complete with pic !

I like to change up the filling sometimes by adding some chopped mushroom (Mahmoud absolutely adores these -- he says they're better than the original.) Or sometimes I use some chopped hardboiled egg with chopped black olives. Or even shredded cheese with a little chopped hot peppers. Use your imagination -- all you do is just stir in the extras into the basic recipe. You may have to make a little extra dough because you'll come out with a few more pies. But they're all dee-licious

Dawn you were going to try making these with phyllo dough -- did you ever do it ? Right now we have tons of baklawa in the house, but maybe I'll try it later when I'm not on phyllo overload....

Congrats on the heart (L)..... you Chatterbox, you

(F)

thanks, your the best!! I only did them with phyllo before and they were great and gone. today its the standard dough, so I'm glad this came back out. theres actually a few good ideas in this thread, too, so double thanks!!

Doodle, kudos on the rack of lamb. I should try that but I have never. Whats in the tomatoes stuffed with vegetables?
