Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

I'm watching, but in Sox superstition fashion, I won't make any gleeful noises until they win. I won't even use exclamation points (exception in my signature).

Why is everyone in the world either a red sox fan or a yankees fan?

Bunch of front runners!

I'd love it if the Indians beat both of these lame teams, and with a fraction of the pay roll too!

Well, my excuse is that I grew up in Massachusetts and was born less than a mile from Fenway. It's funny (and weird) that the Sox have become such a trendy team since 2004. People who hate the Yankees for all the obvious reasons align with the Sox, I guess. And Fenway Park is a magical place.

I used to get condolences when I wore Sox shirts (I've lived in AZ for a good few years now). I was at work in 2003--this was before the horrid ALCS that year--and a guy passed me in the hallway and said, "Are you a Red Sox fan?" When I replied, "Yes," he said, "Why?" It wasn't that long ago that they really looked like a doomed team--86 years without a championship. And they always managed various maddening and heartbreaking ways to blow it--every season. It was such a sad story that HBO made a documentary about it. I was lucky; I only had to live 31 years before I saw a Sox World Series championship, but so many Sox fans--my dad included--never got to see it. (Yeah, I know, violins, please...)

I know that if I weren't a Sox fan, I'd be tired of all the Sox-Yankees exposure. But oh well--the Sox sucked for so long, it's really fun to be the favored team for once. Well, maybe not in this particular ALCS...

'Til Saturday!

I am an Angels and Rockies fan but would also like to see the Indians make it too. I remember the good ol days when the "human rain delay" was manager! Five points if you know who the "human rain delay" is :P
