Well it's off to Pakistan to visit my fiance'. This will be my first time going there, feeling a little bit nervouse. My friend's think i'm nuts but oh well. I'm more concerned about my ticket coming home though. I am coming from Dubia into Kennedy airport then i have to take a taxi to N.Y LaGuardia airport, all in 3 hours. The airlines said i have time to do this but i dont know how much time it will take coming through immigration and then taking a taxi. Was just wondering if anybody had to do this recently and how long it took.

Thanks

What day and time of day are you doing this? It shouldn't be a problem. If Newark were in the equation it would be a problem.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

It much depends on the volume at immigration at the time you get there. On a good day, you should be able to get through it in 30-45 minutes but it can take longer. Then you gotta grab your bags and drag them through customs. Won't take any time unless they pick you for inspection in which case this can easily add another 15-30 minutes. The ride from JFK to LGA largely depends on whether it's a weekday vs. weekend and if it is a weekday then it will depend on the time of day. I'd budget at least an hour to get from JFK to LGA. And then you have to get back through security which at LGA can take a good while, too. I'd say it can be done in 3 hours but you better check that there are alternate flights out of LGA later in the day.

7:20 am on friday i will reach kennedy. Newark is not involved.

Well, that'll take you right through rush hour from JFK to LGA which means it'll take awhile. The good thing is that there should be later flights as yours seems to be scheduled around 10:30 am. Don't worry. If you don't make it, they'll put you on a later flight.

Well problem is i have to make it into anchorage on time by midnight to catch a whole other flight i booked to fairbanks. Reasons why i booked a separate flight from anchorage to fairbanks is becouse it was 2,000 dollars cheaper. I am concerned if i miss this flight at anchorage they will charge me more. I guess it would be about 130 dollars but still cheaper than 2,000. Before i booked everything i had plenty of time but airlines screwed me up and had to rebook again.

Traffic can be hell but it's not that far. You should make it.

Wouldn't it be shorter to fly the other way around? You know, fly Eastbound out of Pakistan and then come into the US from the West? Not sure.

Anyway, a series of things would have to go wrong for you to miss the connection. 3 hours is tight but it's doable.

Man, that's one hell of a trip. I'd hate having to get on a flight as long as that from NYC to Anchorage after having gotten off a plane coming in from Dubai. Jeepers. You'll be one tired puppy when get back home. I can promise you that.
