Good job, I quit almost four months ago and used that meter LisaD posted up earlier...I already saved over $300 and would've smoked about 900 cigarettes and I wasn't even a very heavy smoker (like two packs a week!).

I've quit for longer periods than this in the past and started again, but now I feel like I really have something to live for (my fiancee) so I believe I won't start again. In the past I didn't really care too much if I died when I was 50, but now I do. So as long as you have something to live for (and I know you do!) it shouldn't be too hard to quit! Best of luck, stay on it.

I will have been smoke free for 3 years next April. Each day it gets easier until you laugh at the brief notions of smoking. The key is never ever to put one in your mouth for any reason. There is nothing in this life that requires a ciggarette to "get through".

Hi there, Thank you for the info..

It might help a little bit for my dad. He is a heavy smoker, He did quit for the last 3 years, but it didn't last that long. I guess because He has too much stress from his works.

I know these are some stupid questions, but why not to try asking?

1. What is Chantix?

2. Where can i get it? Do i have to get the prescription from doctor?

My dad does not live in United States but I might go to visit him next year (Indonesia). And if i able to get the Chantix from drug store, I will bring them and try to encourage my dad to try it :)

Hopefully It will work for him . Thank you in advance!

Chantix Website

It does have some side effects. For me the worst is the nausea. Now I have an idea how pregnant women must feel. But I don't feel like smoking, so I can handle nausea.
