Eid or Not? it's definatly Saturday

Happy Caturday!

I was so excited to sleep in today and not wake up at 5am to eat then do prayers..... and then a really good friend called me at 6am after her overnight shift and said "Good morning! I'm guessing you just got done with your prayers, so let's go for some coffee!! Ramadan is over, right? so you can eat now?" grrr..... I had to inform her that I no longer have to get up at 6am for prayers and just do them when I wake up, but went to breakfast with her anyway lol

Well its almost time to start tomorrow's daily thread, so Id better get my 2 cents in here before its too late. This was Ahmed's first Eid here, and I think he was a little dissapointed . I wanted to make him a special meal and buy him something nice, but he vetoed the idea. I think its mostly because it just doesnt feel like Eid without his family. He did let me buy him some new underwear at Wally World, so I guess that will have to be my Eid gift .

And on the food front I am here to reccomend a most deeeeeeeelish new dish! I got a couple of those Betty Crocker Warm Delights microwaveable desserts. Im savoring the lemon swirl cake and ohhhhhh, I want to be reincarnated as a lemon so I can enjoy this flavor forever. I cannot believe you can make cake like this in the microwave! Instant gratification!

That's funny you say that because I was almost going to do a poll to see how many will still get up for Fajr prayer now that Ramadan is over. I'm going to try but I don't know how long it's going to last.
