Reposting here in case this is the better place...

I am hoping someone can please help us.

I just called the NVC since it has been 5 weeks since our NOA2 approval for the I-129F from the CSC.

The customer service rep said that the reason it has probably not been sent is "because you have to file an I-130 as well and that our case is probably being held up until we submit an I-130."

WHAT IS THIS??? I FOLLOWED ALL THE DIRECTIONS AND GUIDES AND NEVER SAW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS IN THE I-129F PROCESS. WE EVEN GOT OUR NOA2.

Please tell me they are mistaken. What is this about the I-130? Help!

Only if you are married to her already...not if she is just your fiancee.

Hopefully the operator thought you were doing a K3. If not you just got bad info from them. Nothing new!

5 weeks is a LONG time tho for NVC to pass your petition on to your embassy.

May be due to the "fee beaters" deluge of petitions.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

I would definately call them and make sure they are clear that you filed for a K1 VISA and not a K3 VISA. I would even write them as well. You can't afford to take chances on unnecessary delays.
