Hello to all VJ members,

I am really depressed and tired of waiting on VCS ,right now I am at 55 days since I mailed my I129F. If they would at least tell me what is wrong (if anything) with my application . I am really pissed that they are so unsencitive to our feelings ,beacuse they could at least sent me e-mail ,snail mail or something and inform me why my case is so delayed. I am thinking to sent them some additional proof with note asking them is this enough, because this si crazy . I see some poeple are approved in 10-15 days and I am now at 55 days ,without any info about my case .

I am thingking to go to local Congressman Office and to ask them if they could help ,or at least help me to find out what is the problem and if I could do anything to speed up the process. So my questions is ,did anyone try this and if you did ,did they help you and how ?? At this point of time I am ready to start screaming. I tried to be patient and I waited for my turn but this is too much now.

Any kind of advice and help is appriciated !!

Thank yyou very much ,you guys are GREATT !!

They are only just up to processing those with receipt date of December 10. You mailed yours December 9. It will come. You also can't compare to others as timeframes for processing change all the time. I'm sorry to say but a congressman can do diddly squat for you right now. Your petition hasnt even quite reached the processing date. Even after that there can be many variables....RFE's.....security checks that leave you none the wiser of what is going on, etc

I hope you hear something soon..I do realise the frustation of this whole process regardless of time spent waiting. You do really though have to be a little patient when you take in the processing date they are currently at.

Calling the NVC is futile as they do not have your petition yet.

Processing times can change all the time. At present VSC is only listed as processing dates for I-129F petitions received December 10.....see HERE Even if the 30-45 days was in line with the new processing dates you would still have to wait 30 days before you would be able to get any information on what is happening with your petition. As you mailed off your petition on the 9th your receipted date is not until after the December 10 so on that basis your petition has not yet reached the processing date they are now currently up to. However these dates as with others can be out, but are an indication of where they are up to.

Calling your congressman is futile. I am not trying to be offensive but EVERYONE who gets impatient (weither it is 1 week or 30 weeks) talks about or does write their congressman. DO you know what happens? nothing. People just assume that their congressman have magical powers to speed up the process. but guess what? they don't. If you want to vent about your wait that is fine. Yes the process is frustrating. But don't waste your time writing to your congressman. instead write letters to the one you love to help pass the time.

I can understand why the poster is concerned as I am pretty sure I have seen on VJ someone who got their NOA1 in early January 2006 and got their NOA2 like a week later .... I am not sure how they arrange the order in the centres but seems to be a little unorganized ...

actually my mistake it was 18 days not a week .... Its this post here

Each case is different. What most members forget here too is security checks. This is on top of what processing dates the various centers may be up to ..and RFE's for any missing or incomplete information. or evidence. Name hits will cause delays, sometimes long delays...sometimes petitions are even shelved when they cannot be resolved. The majority can be cleared up fairly quickly however. Petitioners and attorney names are checked as well.....anyone to do with the petition.

mr1nice, I do feel for you and all of us who are waiting to be reunited with their partners. This can be a tremendously frustrating process and cause much emotional turmoil *hugs* All I can say is....keep strong, we are all here. (F)

Not the National Visa Center, the National SERVICE center. They're the call center for all the regional service centers. Their phone number is: 1 (800) 375-5283

Call them and tell them it's been 2 months since you shipped it. Tell them all the details and they will help you. Ask to be transferred to an immigration officer VERY nicely.

Regardless of what timeframe your NOA1 gives, until the now processing dates are 30 days past your NOA1 date, the NSC will tell you are well within the processing times.

Unfortunately all you can do is wait and try not to worry :)

Good luck, and I hope you hear something soon

Looking at you time line.. one thing occured to me..

now I may be WAY totally wrong.. but i am grasping for your sake..

It seems I read that you said you yourself had a Naturalization ceremony... Congrats on that.

BUT... could it at all be possible that .. YOU are not in the system yet as a Citizen...?

Quite possibly they are confirming.. and .. processing that paperwork that will .. show that you are a citizen and thus can use the K-1 process..

I hope it is only a glich for you ..

Best wishes.. either way I would indeed call..
