DON'T TREAD ON ME

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Senate Floor Speech on Public Debt

One good thing about the Nuge...you know where he stands. He doesn't waffle depending on which way the wind blows.

God, guts, and guns...it's what made America great.

And my favorite..."Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6." ;)

Free people in America shouldn't depend soley on government to protect them. That much is obvious to me.

"Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave."

"...for the system to be credible, people actually have to be deported at the end of the process."

US Congresswoman Barbara Jordan (D-TX)

Testimony to the House Immigration Subcommittee, February 24, 1995

I don't think anyone would challenge a person's right to defend themselves. It's obvious to Ted that the real argument is over what methods of self defense are acceptable in civil society. Would it be acceptable for someone to carry around a grenade launcher as self protection?

Well I sure don't disagree with Ted. I whole heartly agree with a lot he said in that video. And the comment about a child molester being cought he should have the right to blow his brains out..    UP to Ted on that. Holy cow, if I cought someone molesting my step son, It sure would suck to be that guy. I am not a fighter but I would sure beat that guy to a plup then toss him out my 3rd floor apartment window.

I know of a story of in Santa Rosa, CA that someone broke into the house, started to molest a 11 yr old and her father heard noise, so he looked into it and saw this creep molesting her, He fought him tooth and nail on the kitchen floor, the 11 yr old smack him over the hear with a cast iron frying pan. It took 8+ cops to cuff him.. Seems like he was on drugs..

So Right ON TED.

'I rather see the car jaker dead then that lady.

Rudy Giuliani on Gun Control:

I do not think the government should cut off the right to bear arms. My position for many years has been that just as a motorist must have a license, a gun owner should be required to have one as well. Anyone wanting to own a gun should have to pass a written exam that shows that they know how to use a gun, that they’re intelligent enough and responsible enough to handle a gun. Should both handgun and rifle owners be licensed...we’re talking about all dangerous weapons.

George W. Bush on Gun Control:

Government should pay for voluntary trigger locks

Bush said Texas will spend about $1 million a year for five years to purchase trigger locks, which would be distributed to citizens who asked for them at police stations and fire departments. “It seems like to me one of the things we ought to do is be common-sensical about how we deal with gun safety,” Bush said. “And if I become the president, I’m going to ask Congress to appropriate money for a national program to do just the same thing, which is distribute trigger locks for people to use.” Bush proposed that the federal government make $325 million in matching funds available over five years for state and local governments that adopt programs similar to the Texas program. Until recently Bush had opposed mandatory trigger locks and ridiculed rival Sen. John McCain during the South Carolina primary for switching positions on the issue and voting for an amendment to the Senate’s juvenile justice bill that made trigger locks mandatory.
