Hello Every-One,

So are you all agreeing that we can simply print our own head & shoulders photo from home (the size of a passport photo)?

That would be terrific...save some cash.

There was an article in one of the photography magazines a few years back on how to take a passport photo. The web is full articles on how to do it. The Department of State website used to have a page on how to take your own photo, it's gone now but there is still a great deal of info for "professional" photographers. All the info you need is there (size of head, lighting instructions, height of eye level, etc.) and if you don't have a photoprinter, then go to Shoppers Drug and get a 4" by 6" print (4 - 2" by 2" pictures) for a quarter. Pay half a buck and you're good to go with 8 pictures. I have done this for several people, with a really crummy digital camera no less and it cost me only a sheet of photo paper. That's about it. Immigration is expensive enough, save your money (great, now I sound like a TV commercial).

Daisylynn, I phoned Medisys and they stated that they only need the case number, tomorrow I'll phone Dr. Seiden.

I-485 application transferred to CSC – March 12th, 2008

Travel/Work approval notices via email – April 23rd, 2008

Green card/residency card: email notice of approval – August 28th, 2008 yippeeeee!!!

Funny-looking card arrives – September 6th, 2008 :)

Mailed request to remove conditions – July 7, 2010

Landed permanent resident approved – August 23rd, 2010

Second funny looking card arrives – August 31st, 2010
