My fiancee noticed on her birth certificate yesterday that an error was made regarding her fathers birth date that is included on her birth certificate. It seems they recorded the date wrong (put the year as five years earlier than he was born) and it was never noticed.

Since the other documentation filled out for the consulate (i.e. G-325A) states the correct birth date, would this raise flags during the interview when reviewing her certificate?

His birth certificate reflects the correct date. I thought perhaps she could take his birth certificate with her to the interview and explain the error. She was unable to get the issuing agency of her birth certificate to compose a letter certifying the error.

Does anyone have suggestions for this before we request a new birth certificate record to be drafted?
