Been 2 weeks... check not cashed

Hey all,

Our I-129F petition was received on Sept. 26 (2 weeks ago) and my check has not yet been cashed.

I've looked over some other timelines and this seems a little longer than what others have experienced. Although-- I have noticed a few that took quite a while.

Is it time to worry yet? If it takes much longer would this warrant a phone call to make sure everything is ok?

It takes a while and it's taken a long time lately. Wait a few more weeks before you start calling.

I wouldn't worry. It is well-publicized on USCIS that they are having extremely long receipting delays - as much as 4 weeks to process intake of petitions. And, even if you call, they can't tell you anything! Hang in there, it will happen.

I still have not received an NOA nor has my check been cashed for my I-751 application, and I sent it in on September 13th, so it's been almost a month.

I think they are extremely backlogged from the July fee-increase deadline.

If you're going through CSC, it's taking a little over a month for NOA1's and checks to be cashed.

I listened to the OMbudsman teleconfrence today and they are aware that it is taking longer than normal to get checks cashed because of the rcpt'ing delay. They are supposed to have all rcpts current (i.e. checks cashed and NOA's printing) by the end of October. They also mentioned that they will not reject a case if your bank rejects the check because it has been held for over 90 days. Not that I think your check will be held that long. But they are trying to rectify the delay.

There were 12 VJ K1/3 petitions sent to CSC between 9/21 & 9/27 inclusive. Only two of them report receiving their NOA1's.

Yeah, my patience is beginning to grow thanks to this forum... it's kind of like my support group when I get nervous about this whole process.
