Barefoot Contessa has a good recipe for frozen key lime pie. You could make that into smaller tarts. It's really good if you like it frozen.

I always like little apple tarts with vanilla ice cream or fruit tarts and when I want some chocolate I make brownie tarts.

I don't want to brag but I make a KILLER rack of lamb!

For those of you looking for some new interesting recipes, try using some from Chef Osama. If you don't know who he is, he has his own tv show on LBC and everything he makes looks good.

VJ Hours - I am available M-F from 10am - 5pm PST. I will occasionaly put in some OT for a fairly good poo slinging thread or a donut.

We are having Lmsemmen and I'm soooo happy! Before Omar came here I told him he had to learn to make it or I wouldn't let him in the front door. yeah right. So the first 2 months I got it every weekend, then of course it dwindled down, and I haven't had it since we moved. :crying: When I saw people were preparing special meals for Eid, I said, I WANT LMSEMMEN!! so I'm getting it.

 I'd love to share it but I can't, it's a family secret and we use a home made spice rub which is also a secret. If you want to try it, you will just have to fly to california and have some at my house.

I'm sure it's the same thing. Yassmine's husband says it the same as you. Maybe it's an east coat/west coast thing. I just know there is a definite L when my husband and his family say it. It's like a swedish pancake folded over a million times..I've seen it at the souks made with cheese or onion too. Not the stringy one, that's more a potato taste.

Sometimes I make rack of lamb with lots of herbs and bread crumbs and roast the whole thing in the oven and sometimes I will cut the rack into individual pieces and marinate them and grill them. You can do just about anything with lamb. Rosemary and garlic are pretty classic. Hicham sometimes marinates it in chopped onion, salt, pepper, olive oil, garlic and parsley and grills it.

LOL, I'm reminded of this week's episode of Desperate Housewives. JP, be careful no one breaks into your house now to steal your lamb recipe!

Don't worry its in a safe place...my head. Everyone in our family know how to make it so if I forget can ask someone to remind me.

I use some of these ingrediants as well but its the spice rub and the technique of cooking which makes it more unique.

My Grandfather's side of the family comes from a long line of cooks and bakers and they have the absolute best lamb recipe that is in our family. I'll have to dig it up. My mouth is watering!
