So what is on the menu for your Eid celebrations? I am going to make a Dutch Apple Pancake tomorrow for breakfast and then spiced beef ribs with my own Moroccan barbeque sauce (it's a work in progress I'll let you know how it turns out). I'm sure that there will be more that's just my basic idea. I'm also toying with a pumpkin pie lol

We were invited to Moh's friend's house for breakfast before Eid prayers tomorrow morning. Moh's friend said he's making falafel. We're bringing kahk, ghraybah and konafa. After prayers the mosque is having a potluck lunch. In the evening the mosque is hosting an outing for kids and parents at Jeepers so i guess it will be pizza for dinner.

The beef ribs sound great, Amera.

I will for sure make Hicham a chocolate cake because he's been asking for one for a while now. Otherwise I haven't had time to think about it much yet. Maybe some rack of lamb and roasted potatoes and carrots. Who knows!

Well I was planning on going to an Algerian restaurant tomorrow evening but it's looking like that's falling through the cracks so now I'm at a loss. I think I might make chicken tikki masala since I haven't had that in a while. Dunno what to do about dessert but it will definitely involve chocolate! lol

Amera- I love pumpkin pie! I recently made individual pumpkin tarts and they were good! I'm becoming obsessed with small individual desserts lately.

Frankly I think I prefer LARGE individual desserts

Well you know, eating a few small ones never seems as bad as eating a big one!

Pumpkin tarts?!?!??! Send me the recipe that is super exciting to me.

I'm at work right now but when I get home I'll send it, I promise.

Well since i cant come over and have rack of lamb with you guys and I wouldnt even know how to begin to cook rack of lamb....AND Idir has to work from Noon to 9pm....

we are going to do a brunch....start off with some sweet couscous then omlettes, roasted potatos, fresh fruit and.....maybe something else if I can think of it.

We'll do a Eid dinner for some friends as soon as we can get our calendars aligned- then that dinner will be a traditional multi-course moroccan feast!
