Happy Firday. My husband is at the Mosque and said that today is EID. He said that Morocco will celibrate tomorrow. I am not really sure how this all works as I live in Central California and they said that the moon is what it needed to be lastnight. As I said I have no real clue. I know that my husbands friend is from Marracco and he will also share with him tomarrow. I know that my husbands family and friends have been calling all hours of the night for EID. Well I guess they forgot about the time difference.

Love that it was a short work week and have shopping to do after work.

I don't know about all the way to texas, but we drove chicago to Kansas (and back :crying: ) and there were telephone polls, hay bales and cows pretty much the whole way, in between the smatterings of civilization. I even got a coffee cup and tshirt about it.

hahaha

My kids haven't faked sick yet. They have too much fun at school. I however used to fake sick ALL the time when I was younger. I can remember one morning I didn't want to go to school so my mom gave me the thermometer. It was the old fashioned mercury kind and I put it in my tea thinking it would make me look like I had a temp. Well it cracked and the mercury went into the tea. My mom told me to drink the tea so I had to fess up and I ended up having to go to school.

Tsk, tsk... amatuer.

I had it down to an art. In High School I was so "good' at it - I'd stay up 'till 3-4:00am daily on school days, and head down to the nurse's office to take a 2 hour nap in the middle of the day. :)

I even had record lateness - something like 100 days / 180 late in the year. How'd I pull that off with no detentions?

Let's say computer skills come in handy when you're walking into an office. "Hey, printer's broken? Let me take a look at it ... all fixed!" ;)

Yep. Worked like a charm.

( Note though, the Vice Principal ... He knew me too well. He was on to my tricks. :D I guess he had some sort of admiration for someone who tried so well ~ so lucky for me - I never really got into any trouble for my ... lol... less than savory on-time habits. )

The moral of my story: Stick with someone who matches your own culture.

( This coming from an Arab who married an Arab from overseas... go figure. )
