An RFE is a Request for Evidence. USCIS might give one if they are missing something or if the proof wasn´t enough. It´s not a denial, just means you have to submitt what they ask for your application to move on.

RFE is a request for evidence. We were asked to submit more evidence of a relationship, and soon after we sent it in, we were approved. Submit as much as you can, the more you send them the better chances of approval. Good luck!!
