Laura, I think the comment made to you was intended to be a joke. It obviously fell flat. Many jokes end up doing this online, since we lack facial expression, body gestures and above all, vocal tone. Without any of that to indicate how the words are meant, the message can be interpreted as something much different from what was originally intended.

You and your tawdry thread DeadPool!! (kidding!!)

Laura, just my opinion and I can't speak for olde IR5 (but I can speak about him haha) - I didn't see what you saw - I mean that in a reassuring way not in a 'you are too sensitive' way.

Anyway, DeadPool was spot on, this is a funny medium and stuff that is intended as funny sometimes doesn't sound that way to some people and sarcasm is REALLY tough sometimes.

Anyway, in no way did I get the impression that you have anything to do with strip clubs.

Yes- you can throw loonies and toonies.

The girls will usually put a jar down between her legs while she is on the floor with her legs spread- the guys will then try to aim for the jar.

Otherwise, they just throw the money on the stage in front of them- they have men who sweep up all the money after the girl is off the stage.

I've already PMed Laura a Mea Culpa.

But I want to reiterate one thing.

I do not now nor have I ever believed for one minute that Laura is or ever was a stripper, pole-dancer or a memeber of any other salacious profession.

Kudos to trailmix and DeadPool for trying not to make me look like a monster.

I'm here to make people laugh while they wait for their cases to be adjudicted, not to make them cry and that's not always easy.

Actually, the salciousness of the professions in question are in the eye of the beholder. A job is a job is a job, and we do what we gotta do. Not that I am or ever have been a stripper, but I've known quite a few. Of both sexes, and they're all good people just trying to put food on the table. To each their own.

Actually, some of my stripper friends quite liked the introduction of the loonie and toonie coins, because (most) tips went up to $5 :D Bills are just naturally easier for patrons to use.

divorced - April 2010 moved back to Ontario May 2010 and surrendered green card

PLEASE DO NOT PRIVATE MESSAGE ME OR EMAIL ME. I HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT CURRENT US IMMIGRATION PROCEDURES!!!!!

Well said!!!!!! Those scantily clad fantasies that the crowds salivate over are flesh and blood just like the rest of us.

Member. Tee hee. He said member! And, well, pole.

Speaking of strippers, you know in the movie The Full Monty how they rehearse their big number to a different song every time they practice? How the hell are they supposed to actually get their moves down doing that? I mean, we're not talking about professional dancers here. Oh, and why didn't they just go with "I Believe in Miracles"? That song was way better than the one they ended up using.

I've never seen a real strip club (although my college roommate worked as a stripper and one of my friends from high school dated a male stripper once), but when one of my friends and her husband renewed their vows, we had a surprise "bridal shower"/bachelorette party for her the night before the wedding and her husband came out of the "cake" as a dancer. He did not take anything off, but the gals in attendance were all looking for change to pretend to put in his g-string and they were going for 20s, not 1s and 2s!

Actually, the salciousness of the professions in question are in the eye of the beholder. A job is a job is a job, and we do what we gotta do.

True story: I had a friend who was a master abaiter.

His job was to remove asbestos from buildings, and people who do that are called asbestos abaiters. Because he was a lead asbestos abaiter, his job title was master abaiter.

I think telling people his job title was one of his great pleasures in life.

Even with the warning, I was not prepared for the question.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip
