I used to be the type who would NEVER toot in front of my man...and in the beginning, I would use a bathroom on a different floor than where he was!

But you know what? If I'm going to share a life with someone, well then he's going to have to accept me warts and all. And the home is somewhere where you shouldn't be 'on show', imo. I'm certainly not saying we make it a game to toot in front of each other....and of course, manners should prevail...but ya know what? Extreme closeness isn't just about hearts and flowers...it's about tooting too :)

Okay. I fart and I burp. In front of my husband. He farts and burps in front of me. I don't think it's gross (unless it's particularly smelly) because it's natural, and everyone does it. Why marry a man I can't fart in front of? I couldn't imagine spending my life running out of the room to fart or burp.

So who farts and burps in front of their S.O? How long were you together before you did? We were together about six months before I farted proudly (ie not trying to muffle the noise) in front of him. I mean, I'm not all like "Hey honey, I got a good one comin'! Listen!" But I now just fart whenever I have to, and don't try to hide it.

Farting and burping? It is natural but shitting and peeing is natural too. Would you do those in the presence of your loved one?

Here people fart and burp loud. Disgusting IMHO. The highest fart&burp decibel must belong to Americans. Proud to be...? :P

I am now a US citizen.

You mean, will either one of us enter the bathroom if the other is busy taking a leak or a dump inside?

Absolutely.

I just make a joke if my husband passes gas. If i can hear it I ask him " did you say something?":lol: it takes the embarassment out of the situation, and we just laugh about it. It's just natural.

here's a question would you rather hold it in or let it out?? either way it's going to come out somewhere.

My hubby does fart and burp in front of me. I dont really care.

Now for me I toot sometimes in front of him, and if I do I always say "excuse me"

Same as the burping, if one slips out I always excuse myself.

They just burp here and never say excuse me.

I don't think there's wrong with a little farting now and again...of course, I have a problem with farting in the car, rolling the windows up & putting the heat on.

Letting one rip in the car can be interesting when you have cloth seats because if you run into the store for a few minutes after letting one rip, when you come back and plop your a$$ down on the seat again it is released all over from the foam....

The average healthy adult farts 45 times a day

#######?? Is that serious???

I don't think it happens that often in a whole week........

Some of us are above average  Taco Bell can really bring out the overachiever in ya.

I'm not usually scared of the noisy ones (those DO crack me up)....it's the SBD (silent but deadly) ones that knock me off my feet. I walk into the room where the offense has taken place and HOLY SHAMOLY!!!! Even the cat runs the direction!:ph34r::ph34r:

I will give hubster a hard time about letting one rip, but have a hard time keeping a straight face...except if it's a stinkeroo....then I just RUNNNNNNNNNN!

Farts ARE hilarious...where's Marilyn's old fart thread????

It takes skill to be able to clear a crowded room out with one single... simple... SBD fart!!!

It requires planning the night before, and mixing just the right ingrediants! Beer, cheese, chile, and a few other odds and end. :D;)

Farting should be a sport!!! hahahahahaha

Try some kraft dinner and spam. You can create one of those 30-second farts that changes note 3 times and makes the dog leave them room. It's like the song of the humpbacked whale.

And I wholeheartedly agree, farting should be a sport - probably a combat sport. I predict it will be most popular in the South and most likely sponsored by Coors.

Have you actually done research on this? What happens if you have leather seats?

Me and My husband started burping very early, after 3 weeks being together. I kept doing it because he was surprised that I am such a great burper :D

Well after about 6 month I had a slip and he laughed so hard I was embarrassed.

I am from a very open minded family and we never had trouble to fart burp or doing toilet business in front of each other.

Well my Husband was raised different. He told that we will never fart in front of each other nor using the bathroom together. If I have to pi while he is in the shower I gotta wait.

That's how he was raised!! ridiculous

Well, if one of us is in the shower and the other has to pee, then we'll go. With only one bathroom it's a necessary sometimes! And if he was in the shower and I really, really needed to poop? Well, I'd enter then too. But I'd only do that in an emergency, since I think it'd be rather unfair to trap him with the smell.
