yes we both openly burp and fart in front of eachother!! :jest:

We weren't around eachother for 2 years after meeting online, so it couldn't happen during then. Then we were together for 2 weeks. But then it was 11 months til he came on the visa, 2 weeks later we were married, and by then felt comfortable to do both around eachother. Never have felt embarassed since then.

Married since 9-18-04(All K1 visa & GC details in timeline.)

OMG! I come from a family where my Dad would go to the bathroom to fart. He would never let us in the bathroom if it smelt and would be furiously spraying airfreshener in there and would check and inform us when it was safe to enter!!! Now thats polite and thinking of others!!!

I'm incredibly comfortable with my husband, but there is no way we would break wind or burp infront of each other at will. I personally think it's incredibly rude and does not show respect for the other person, there are things that do not need to be shared! The odd accident does occur, normally after drinking fizzy drinks and we always apologize afterwards.

Jeeze farting and burping with eachother! whats next? taking a poo whilst in the bathroom together??? Blerghhhhhh!!!

How long were you together before you did?

At my 2nd visit to him. Did it in front of his dad and him. Figured if I was gonna be myself, I might as well be myself in front of the family too. When word about what I did spread, they all agreed immediately I was destined to be a part of their family. They all belch and fart like there's no tomorrow. Love them to death. :D

nope..neither one do.. i was raised in the south..and my mom beat my brother and myself..azzes if we did,....so, it was a case of operant conditioning at a young age..sanita would never do this.against her family's values...

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

I have to add that my mom and dad raised my sister and I to always go somewhere else if we had to do that..... always go to the bathroom or some other place where nobody's at. Except if it's a total accident, then you apologise.

And I'm glad Dave's like that too. 2 years living together and it's never happened...... except the accidental burp when drinking too much soda :P

I really don't think it's about being comfortable around each other, to me it's just a matter of values. And if you found someone who shares the same kind of values as you, good for you

It is human to fart and burp :) why hide it.

it didnt take me or my fiance long to do it near eachother. when we realised we can sit in the bathroom and hold a conversation while one is in the tub and the other is on the crapper, there was no big deal farting infront of eachother. :)

my sister has been married almost 6 years and whenever she has to fart or burp, RUNS to another room so her husband wont hear or witness it. tho ive never really thought her to be normal anyway :)

Just the way some people were raised...it's not that i CANT do it in front of my hubby I just choose not to - in my mind, it's rude.

So - where you say I'm "uptight" I say you are rude.
