Today we had our biometrics appointment in Miami. The appointment was scheduled at 1:00 pm, but boy was that a joke! I didn't realize that about 80 other people must have had a 1 pm appointment also! We were in there for several hours! The place was almost impossible to find too! And when I asked for directions at two different places (gas stations), the people there didn't even speak English!! One woman at the center said that the city didn't allow them to even put up a sign for the place! Other than that, it went ok. We were never asked for a marriage certificate. Only the appointment letter and identification ( a passport worked fine). My husband then had his fingerprints taken and his picture taken ..and that was the end. So we'll see how it goes next!

English in Miami? LOL

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Senator Barack Obama
Senate Floor Speech on Public Debt

Sorry you had to go to the main centre! I went to the Fort Lauderdale one and it was smooth going - AND they had signs to point you in the right direction. It's strange that the Miami one didn't... still now you can relax because that bit of the process is done!
