but u know what.. they should be doing the opposite.. if they wanna show how illegals are hard workers.. they should have been working overtime.. and not leave the plant or whatever lawl.. so that'd show how hard workin they are.. not the other way.. being lazy protesting in spanish...

I know it's overly simplistic - but everytime I see it on TV I go "OK, what are you waiting for... they're all right there!!!"

Probably afraid of being sued for "racial profiling" or something. I have thought the same thing though.

I dont quite understand how a staffing agency could employ illegals. They run a tight ship here, HAD to have copy of hubbys green card, and all that stuff, SSN, two forms of ID, etc. Now if you lied and SAID you were a citizen, not sure how that would go down as long as you had other id, but they did check the drivers license on the computer system, etc to make sure it was legit. Of course we are in a city (with computers)...but heck, so is Detroit! Now a small town, without the computer system checks, hmmmm. Over half the small Nebraska towns dont even know what a computer looks like yet. :lol:

I KNOW Nebraska employs a LOT of illegals in our meat packing plants, its just a known fact, but I dont know if they get referred by families, etc, or how they go about it. Schuyler is a small town of about 7,000, but it has been overrun by illegals these last 10 years. I think the population is 75% hispanic at this point. For a small midwest town, thats a high percentage!

What I dont understand is, that when a raid is done, and they arrest a bunch, and then let them GO within 48 hours? Whats with THAT????

9-12-05 NOA1 - FOR I-130, I-145, & AP, EAD

10-5-05 RFE for Birth C. & medical

10-24-05 GOT LEARNERS PERMIT

11-3-05 DRIVERS LICENSE :)

11-16-05 overnited RFE

11-17-05 Rcvd NOA2 for EAD, bio set for 12-5-05

11-25-05 Recvd AOS bio letter, apptmt for 12-14-05

12-5-05 Biometrics (they did BOTH!)

Infopass, got temp EAD, AP no luck

12-6-05 Applied for SSN, not in system

12-10-05 AP finally arrives!

12-11-05 1 year EAD card!

12-23-05 Interview letter arrives! 3-3-06

1-17-06 SSN arrives!!

3-3-06 Interview-APPROVED! Passport stamped :)

3-14-06 Green card arrives!
