what really makes me laugh the MOST in these protest and stuff, is the mexicans shouting USA in their native tongue, NOT IN ENGLISH!!!!! yea THATS the way to get your point across

mhh good point..

... and holding up signs in Spanish..... besides waving the mexican ! flag.... what's going on with the flag thing anyway? I thought they want to become US citizens, yet they proudly wave their Mexican flags... Looks more like an attempt to conquer than an attempt to integrate.

They are still working on the message thing. It's confusing to them, too, I'm sure. And, apparently, due to the low wages they are being paid as illegals, they can't quite afford to have their message translated. Which is why they need to be lgalized. So they can start to communicate with the rest of us...

in my opinion, shouldnt you learn english before coming here and starting a life? i mean call me crazy, but i learned romanian before moving to romania to live and work, otherwise i would have starved.

then again i could just go back, pull up a protest, and demand romanians learn my language, learn my way of life, i dont want their rights, ill keep mine :), oh and ill demand a day just for ME and make it a national holiday :)

i just think its pathetic going to LIVE in a country without learning the language first

especially when your protesting, and making signs to make a point on becoming legal in a country you cant even make a proper sign in to STATE YOUR POINT!

I am in complete agreement with you

Paul and I met on the Bazaar on the 14th January (he joined my progressive rock forum that day)

July 3rd he flew to England to meet me

We fell in love while he drove all over the place coz I cannot read maps (we were supposed to go to Ingleton - but touched Darlington 4 times, Pierce Bridge 6 times, Scotch Corner twice and Bernard Castle twice and we never did make it to Ingleton)

It has been so long and so much has happened in between...

Arrived in Houston on October 29th 2006

Married 17th November 2006

Lost my father 8th January 2007 (all dates are a blur after this)

Conditional Green Card dated 24th October 2007

I-751 posted on 6th August 2009

Received on 7th August 2009 in VT

This really irritates the hell outta me so bad!

Some of the Wolverine workers were undocumented, Herrada and one of the workers said, and wanted to march in the Detroit rally to show their support for immigrant rights

Gotta love the PC police with the 'undocumented' sh!te

But what I'm most intersted in....is why the hell the meat packing plant is so open about hiring illegals in the first place??? Shouldn't they be fined & stuff?

The folks over at ICE and the Labor Dept. are apparently concerned that meat will be too expensive for their families if they start going after the meat packaging plants. Something like that.

DITTO

Mt heart is breaking for them :crying::whistle: am I allowed to say dickheads!!!!

no..but peckerheads is okay

o.k. PECKERDICKHEADS

I wish I could just not go to work whenever I wanted to do somethjing else like go to an event. Guess that's what I get for being a citizen.

There's a solution.

Go to Mexico and burn your US passport. Sneak across the Rio Grande and then attend all the protests you want!

I wouldn't have the balls to go to another country illegally and demand citizen's rights. #######?

We can partially thank the polically correct a$$holes in this country for allowing this kind of stuff.

Sounds just like the UK that one, we have absolutely LOADS and LOADS of those PC a$$holes here too, think it's catching????

Bill Mahr has a good solution :)

Build a 4,000 mile Wal-mart, from texas to california (however long)

americans go in the front to shop

illiegal immigrant mexicans go in the back to WORK, and go home the same way.

They had to have known that taking this to the media would NOT help their case in any way! I flat out refuse to believe that they could be so stupid.

Why doesn't the USCIS just raid all the protests?

I hope companies that don't employ illegal immigrants will start advertising that fact...I for one, will commit to paying a higher price for goods from here on in.

I have had a good laugh, reading this thread. You are all quite right, the whole situation is getting ridiculous and I have been thinking (bad news, I know) about the "strike" on the 1st May, when no illegal immigrant is going to shop in the US. Well, what about all those in the process of becomming LEGAL immigrants (of which I understand there are about 30 Million at the moment) all doing their weekly grocery shop on that day. Maybe that would be one way of showing retailers that they need to be more concerned about the rights of LEGAL immigrants and USC's than ILLEGAL immigrants.

Oh, my husband has just sent several e-mails to various grocery chains and asked them if they can confirm that they have no illegal immigrants working for them. If they can he will continue to shop there, but if they can't then he won't. Guess we are going to be doing all our grocery shopping at the Mini-Market here in town, or at Wes' store! lol Dear old hubby signed his name and added (Action Against Sponsors of Illegal Immigration) !! Sorry, I am falling about laughing now! I would have put something that had a more intesting acronym!!!

Our journey started in 2001 and it's still not over. It's been a rollercoaster ride all the way! Let me off - I wanna be sick!

Because politicians have been paid to ensure that that does not happen. ;)

wouldnt it be a safety issue as well?
