A quick question. Do they cash your check for I751 before sending out NOA1?

I have seen someone's check got cashed in 3-4 days after the petiion had been received. Some take longer.

Thank you!

My NOA1 was dated three days before the date my check cleared the bank. But I didn't receive the NOA1 until more than two weeks after the date on it. Make of that what you will.

From looking at when my checks were cashed for Claudeth's AOS and when the NOAs were dated it appeared to me that they didn't mail the NOA until the check had cleared the bank.

Our check for I-751 fees cleared the bank on Oct 4. We received the NOA on Oct 9, but it was dated Sep 10, just 4 days after I mailed in the package on Sep 6. Either they back-dated the receipt, or they are batch processing the checks and waiting until it clears to send out receipts.

I am still waiting for my NOA. It has been three weeks since we've mailed out the application and THEY cashed the check as well. I am getting a little nervous and probably I shouldn't be. I see a bunch of numbers on the check but I cannot make any case number out of it so I can finally track it online.

On all parts of the process I sent a money order so I could never follow the cash checked bit of info people use to see they got their petition. Delivery confirmation has always been what I use. :P

Don't worry too much about not being able to read your case number on the back of your check - that number, which is also the number on the first NOA you get, won't give you any information about your case status. It is an internal number for USCIS use only. You need to wait until you receive your Biometrics appointment letter as it will have a different case number, and you can use that number to check out and track your case status on line.
