Changing Apppointment Date

I called DOS and found out that we did not make it on the appointment list for the month of November !

Is there a way to request for an earlier date at the consulate in Mumbai?

Has anyone tried changing date? If so than how is it possible and whom to contact?

The consulate of Manila can request for an early interview but it requires a certification: (1) medical reasons; (2) if your USC is in the military service. Otherwise, you can only request for a later appointment date.

i believe thats the same thing i read on mumbai's site so i guess theres no ways...

i'm thinkin about calling consulate up and see what they have to say about that...

quick question, how can we find out about the interview date? my wife's case transferred to Mumbai Embassy.

hey once you know your file has been transfered from NVC to Mumbai Consulate then exactly 1 week later call Department of State at

202 663 1225 press 1 and 0 for operater and give them your case # and just simply tell them you would like to inquire on the status on the case and if possible to know the appointment date!!!
