kids tutorial even without EAD ??

First I would like to thank those people who gave and still giving response to my post "k1 visa expired but haven't submitted AOS yet". You don't know of how much you make me feel better now. THANK YOU!

OK, someone posted that work is a no-no for me right now without my EAD and that baby sitting is considered as job though with small pay. Just wondering how about a HOME TUTORING since there is a company here in florida called Club Z! who is in need for tutors. Its just $20 per hour and requires 1-2 hrs. of tutorials. But, they do fingerprinting for background check.

I believe anything paid would be considered as "work". The only kind of work you are allowed todo without EAD is voluntary, unpaid.

K-1 can obtain a SSN before the Visa expires, that's different from the K-3...

But to answer to the OP, you cannot work without an EAD. But if you filed for your EAD I am assuming that waiting about 3 months would be more reasonable than working and risk to get in trouble...

If you are accepting money for your services that is classed as working, which you're not allowed to do without a valid EAD or GC.

I know some people work as a part time for their FAMILY MEMBERS and stuff without EAD card but it's risky none the less..

Voluntary, unpaid and a job that would not normally receive an income.

You will need a EAD.
