VFS Experience

My wife had dropped off the paperwork today at the VFS in Hyderabad. She submitted the following documents:

- DS 156 (2 copies)

- Passport Clearance Certificate Copy & Original

- Police Clearance Copy & Original

- Passport Copy

- Birth Certificate Copy & Original

- Marriage Certificate Copy & Original

- Pictures of wedding

- Affidavit of Support

- Paid 365 in cash

She was asked about the medical reports, and she informed them that she will submit at the time of interview. She got a receipt that indicates all the items submitted. The whole process took about one hour.

Hope this helps anyone who will be submitting their papers to VFS.

i am just curious as why did you submit copies along with the original..is that a requirement. my husband will be submitting the documents to vfs soon..and thats why i wanna know. thanks.

yes,,they do want copy and original. so when you go to your interview, they will keep the copy and give you back origianal (i.e marriage certi, birth certi),,,you will be instructed to do so when you get your packet 4. hope this helpts..!!!
