If a married couple want to raise a child they shoud first under go some test be required to have a license. You need a drivers license to drive why not have a license to care for a child sense no one is responsible enough now in todays world to raise a child.

Not necessary. Just hold the parents wholly responsible. If a teenager kills or hurts someone using the unsecured weapon of a parent, the parent shall stand trail and be prosecuted to the fullest extend of the law just as if (s)he pulled the trigger. And not just parents. Any gun owner who makes available - knowingly or not - his/her firearm to a minor and that minor commits a crime with that weapon, hold the owner to account. Plain and simple. Folks will be locking them guns up right quick.

No alterations needed. Least of all those that make no sense at all. The difference being that a car is a means of transportation, a gun is a means to hurt or kill. Just in case it escaped you there for a moment. I wouldn't liken a car accident with a kid grabbing daddy's gun to shoot himself some teachers. You might, I sure won't.

the primary purpose of a car is transportation...in the wrong hands (a loon,drunk or high, or distracted person) it is a 2000lb+ weapon of death.

i dunno the stats but i'm willing to bet more people are killed by cars than firearms. yet some people want to rewrite the constitution & take guns away from responsible people to keep them out of the wrong peoples hands.( i doubt the wrong folks will run right down to turn their guns in) and not mandate safe guards (in car breath test etc.) in every vehicle. to keep them out of the wrong hands. maybe i'm wrong but i don't understand this.

No I was talking 'pre-meditated murder' There's a legal distinction.

As I said previously - including drunk driving as a form of homicide merely makes stupid or incompetent drivers pay the same price as if they went out with the intent. They didn't - and I can see the difference even if you can't.

i have no doubt that you are a responsible..adult mature person..

the people i worry about are the ones are immature..or irresponsible and allow the guns fall in the hands of youngsters...cause they did not secure them properly ..gun locks..gun cabinets..with kids are essential

really ... I personally know people who only lock their guns (note: the kids know how to access the guns) because of theft (B&E) into the home. Their kids ... well I do consider them above todays "typical" child in terms of responsibility.

btw: these same kids .. hunt & shoot. they are even strong competitors in the shooting sports.

That has a pretty threatening tone to it. Which leads me to believe that what you're essentially saying is that the protective purpose is really merely a derivative of the gun's primary purpose - which is to harm or kill. Which is all I've been saying all along.
