Hello Everyone,

Here I go again needing some advise and urgent assistance. The situation is this... my fiance have already finalized the plan of visiting me. He got his ticket already and departure date would be on October 20th, that's 7 days from now. He'll arrive in Manila on the 21st (Sunday) from the US. I have also booked his ticket from Manila-Cebu-Manila and my round trip ticket as well coz I'm going to meet him in Manila. Everything is ready, the plan is final... tickets are booked and paid as well as the hotel reservation.

Now the problem is, as I composed this email, my fiance is looking for his passport which is somehow gotten lost and he can't find it in the house. He's looking for it all over the place BUT his passport is nowhere to be found... huhuhu... Everything is ready... BUT NO PASSPORT.

So I'm really asking for your help guys... please, please... Let us know where and how we can get him a new passport before the trip which is just 7 days away... PLEASE. I have searched on line and I found an expedite service of a third party like American Passport Express and Passport Express. Are they legit? Anybody out there knows how my fiance can obtain a new passport before his trip.

We wanted to see each other so much and not to forget that his plane ticket is nonrefundable as well as our round trip tickets which I have just booked. :-(

We need miracle...

I was so excited about the trip days ago...

But I feel like crying out loud just now...:-(

Good Lord help....:-(

Don't panic - that never helps. My boss had a trip planned from US to the Netherlands and could not find his passport the day before. He was able to take his itinerary and his birth certificate to the local visa center, which in his case was Chicago. It took most of the day, but he was able to get a replacement that very day and fly out the same evening.

Oh Lord..he can't get his new passport if he lost it because they are so strict in PI..they have to process his Passport for 15 working days..that is how the DFA in Philippines does when a person lost his/her passport..

The last time he used it was during his last visit in the Philippines last May. And then he photocopied it when we filed the petition last June. And that's 5 months ago...:-(

Haole is right - try the website to find the nearest office. Like I said, my boss was able to get a replacement the same day - don't worry. And when you do find it - you'll have to dispose of it once you have a replacement. The passport process is very quick right now in the USA. A colleage applied for his and had it in less than two weeks and he didn't even pay for the expedited service. Good Luck!

Thank you very much guys for the suggestions and the advice...

God is good... My fiance was able to find his passport...

THANK YOU LORD!!! :-)

As in really, we were both freaking out...

We look for it until midnight (his time) and i wasn't able to go to work until he found it.

I was on the verge of filing sick leave for the day...

Well, those who would experience this in the future...

It is really advisable not to panic... :-)

Just keep on looking and don't stop until you will find it.

And yes, there is a way to obtain an expedite passport...

And thank you very much VJ members...
