Question #22 Clarification

This question is geared for applicants whose spouse is in the US and will be filing AOS in the US. My husband is still in Jamaica. Can I put N/A on this line? I hear "N/A" is bad to put on these forms and gets you an RFE. It just seems this question does not apply to us.

Any suggestions on how to handle this one?

N/A is fine for your situation.

Better putting N/A or NONE than leaving blanks. If you leave a blank. USCIS doesn't know if you missed filling in the question.

I put N/A and NONE where they apllied on all my forms and I did a LOT of them.

Never had any problems with a RFE because of doing such!

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

Hi Marlita,

Half the question applies to you. It's kind of a dual question. It says, if you are applying for AOS (so you are in the U.S.), which City and State do you live in.

To the right of that is an area to enter your City and Country if you are not doing AOS but applying for a visa outside the U.S..

It's worded poorly on the form really. It's a form that is used for many different things so that is probably why :)

Another helpful area on visa journey is the sample forms section here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...p;page=examples

Oh and feel free to put N/A if a field doesn't apply to you, perfectly ok.
