HI, guys

First post here, I've been lurking around a while and gained much knowledge

Well, I just had interview today at the chicago office, and I'm little confused.

Even before the interview began she mentioned to us that so far she had a bad day.. and no one was approved so far..(my appt. was around lunch time)...well, we got nervous but she was very nice during interview..

After sworn in, she asked few questions about us (incl. birthday, etc..) ,My wife(USC) was unable to recall my mother's name because it's different language  and we answered our wedding date wrong because our civil marriage was on march but our wedding was on April.. she seems to understand and didn't go in to interrogation mode :D

then asked to see few things, birth cert., passport, marrige cert, looked at bank statements, wedding photos(asked few questions), took couple of reciept for photography, catholic wedding prep cert., and some minor things that I can't recall.

well, After the interview, she took my I-94 and EAD, but did not stamped my expired passport. and also there was no mention about FBi name checking pending or 2-year conditional PR card instruction..etc..but she kind of mention to her co-worker that we are the first one to go through... Hmm..so am I approved? I'm confused.... I was too afraid to ask about FBI name check and stuff.... what do you guys think??

sorry about my english..I know it's all over the place...

thanks guys..

I believe you are... otherwise she wouldn't have taken your EAD. Apparently the passport stamping is random. Congrats!

Sounds alot like our AOS interview with Atilla the Hun. :) Usually you wont know if you're approved until you get the letter in the mail/email. My husband's passport was not stamped either, but they did take his I-94. No mention was made of another FBI name check, but we're in it. The interviewers arent really great about boosting your hopes and you kinda have to wait it out. Hopefully you wont have to wait long. Best of luck for a speedy approval. :)

It sounds like you are approved, but as yassmine3878 said, all you can do is wait for an email or approval letter in the mail. Many people get the "card production ordered" email soon after the interview (often within hours). Good luck!
