E-Mail DS-3032 is it worth trying

Hey guys! I just wanted your views on whether to email DS-3032 or not. Did anybody recently try to email the choice of agent ????

I do not know the NVC offers that option.

However, the DS-3032 form needs to be signed by the beneficiary/applicant (spouse being sponsored). Not signed by the petitioner (you).

So given there is a "signature and date" section on the bottom of the page. I would think the NVC requires the original document and not a scanned/emailed version.

My husband emailed nvc, it took overtwo weeks to get a response.

I don't know about recently but I emailed them on 7/22/07 and it was accepted on 8/07/07. So 16 days or 12 business days. You may have better luck now since there seemed to be some kind of excessive backlog in those days.

I would like to know this also. I am hoping that my wife and I will be approved soon. The ability to e-mail in the 3032 would be very handy.

There is still a delay of response time with emails to NVC, even if it is the DS3032. It takes at least 7-14 days, maybe sometimes more.

For the people who are waiting NOA2 or just received it, I recommend you go check out the first thread in the National Visa Center forum, pages 10 & 11. It describes the NVC process in detail and you can take notes on how to use James' shortcuts to make the process go faster.

I tried to find this page 10 and 11 with tips and can't find it. The first thread only goes to page 3. Am I looking at the wrong thread?

Yes. You should email. One of my Friends email was accepted in 7 days last month.

You dont need the orignal document. You can just state in the email that you want to appoint the following person as choice of Agent. I know a lot of people who did that including myself and that was sufficient for NVC.

hi! we took the email route for the DS3032 and got a response within a week....but that was still in July. My recent email with the NVC hasnt been read yet per my email tracking advisory, hence, sending via email at this time might not make much difference.

This is probably irrelevant to you now since you posted your original question on Oct. 10th, but for those of you who are still wondering -

My husband emailed his DS-3032 (choice of address and agent) to the NVC on Oct. 29th, 2007 and got a reply on Nov. 2nd! So it looks like they are caught up on their emails. He only just received the actual form in the mail yesterday. So it definitely saves a little bit of time and is worth doing!

gr8 to hear that NVC have caught up on the emails.. I hope they are more quicker in sending the bills and forms....
