If my !-797 approval notice has expired by the time of my Visa interview, do i have to apply for an extention? I called the NVC and was told that it is still valid because my visa is still being proccesed and it will be fine for my interview, it expired in Jan 07. But once at the port of entry i will have to fill out a form to extend the dates. I had no clue they even expired, but after reading they do. I am confused.... Help anyone

As long as the embassy isn't waiting on any documents to be returned by you the embassy should automatically extend to expiration date to meet the interview. Good luck

No, they have everything, i am just waiting for our interview. Its been 6 months. I was first told the waiting time in Montreal was 2-4 months, then called and was told 4-6 months and now it has been 6months. Tried calling but they are no longer taking calls, you have to send an e-mail regarding your questions. So im not sure if there is something wrong.

You might want to contact your U.S. senator's office, let him light a fire under them
