Hello everyone, i have been reading many hours this great forum and answered a lot of my questions already. I am getting married to a peruvian and everything is being done in the Peruvian Consulate. I am an American citizen but was born in Peru too. We already got approved for the I-129F and now our papers are on the NVC. My fiance has a daughter and she needs some info as to what kind of permit she needs from the father. My fiance does not get along very well with the father so i do not think he is going to be much help. I think we need a notarized permit but i read that i need the father's fingerprint on the permit, is that true??. Is there any other permit i need? Also, would she need this permit the day of the interview or just to get out of the country?? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Also, i know a lot of people went through this and i could use some help. Thank you.

Hopefully someone with specific Peruvian experience will come along and tell you exactly what the local requirement is but I can tell you no permission, no visa.

Often a court document indicating "full custody" will substitute for a permission letter. It did for us, but you still need a Peru specific answer.
