I have a question, my mom is a co-sponsor for my wife, but since my wife has not had her interview for AOS and the affidavit of support says that she's only legally required to file for an address change after my wife becomes a permanent resident then when should she file her address change (she recently moved)?

What I mean is, if she were to send the address change to Texas now, would it just confuse USCIS since my mom's affidavit of support may not be on file until after my wife's granted approval?

Your co-sponsor has to report their change of address within 30 days of the move.... they need to complete form I-865... they need to do this no matter that your wife has not had her interview yet....

Thanks for the response, I was asking because she'd moved over 30 days ago and didn't realize she needed to file, I don't want her to get fined or anything, but I noticed on the actual affidavit it says.

If an intending immigrant becomes a permanent resident in the United States based on a Form I-864 that you have signed, then, until your obligations under the Form I-864 terminate, you must:

--

Provide the intending immigrant any support necessary to maintain him or her at an income that is at least 125 percentof the Federal Poverty Guidelines for his or her household size (100 percent if you are the petitioning sponsor and areon active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces and the person is your husband, wife, unmarried child under 21 years old.)

--

Notify USCIS of any change in your address, within 30 days of the change, by filing Form I-865.

So it sounded like they are saying if she becomes a permanent resident, not when the i864 is filed. Do you know if they fine people for filing late?

Thanks
