ppl with co-sponsor,I need ur help .

Hi everybody.

I have a question for ppl that had to get a co-sponsor.my question is :

Do I have to submit the original tax retun papers from the co-sponsor or a copy is good enough ?

I know i have to submit the original signed form I-864 but not sure about the tax return documents.can anybody help ?

I believe he should submit copies along with copies of W2 as well, or alternatively if he obtains the transcripts from IRS which you can get for free by the way by calling IRS directly, he wouldn't need to submit the W2 in this case. However somebody else should second me since in my case I was the only sponsor. Hope this was helpful!

My understanding is photocopies of the 1040 form, W-2's, 1099's and related financials can be submitted.

We used transcripts from the IRS. Photocopies of your returns with W-2's are also fine. Best of luck!
