My I 130 was approved June 28th & then lost in the black hole.

I had written a post about the loss of my I 130 case docs. Today I called NVC & just got the run around. They asked me to give them another month or so. Amazing.

I then called USCIS & spoke to supervisor. She was very cool & very informative. She explained how cases are handled at the approval stages. They approve & use bar code on envelope to finalize the case. It is then FED Xed to NVC. She said it is almost fail safe & that my case absolutely went to NVC.

She has offered to do the tracking herself & call me next week with result.

I wanted V J people to know how this is done in case they have some similar NVC experiance.

It's crazy how the two agency's don't converse with one another, when my husband was at the local USCIS office today he asked them to contact the NVC ( as per the NVC's instructions ) to ask them to send a copy of the request where the 'allegedly' asked them to send the case back. He was told by an agent and a supervisor "No- we don't do that. We only inquire within". Even though they still have no idea why the case was sent back but are now acknowledging they have it at the CSC although they do not know why.

I have worked with many government agencys in areas other than immigration & found that they do not seem to work well with the others.

In the case of USCIS people I have encountered other than the women today, they were exactly as you found. I think it is almost impossible for them to converse with each other. NVC wanted no part of trying to help with USCIS in my case & just wanted to blame them. Incredible waste of effort, time & other peoples lives.

Let all remember this when we vote & demand a change for the future. There has been no seriouse effort in immigration reform for more than 40 years in the USA. We put people on the moon, start wars in the world at will ect & can not find a way to reform antique laws. Politicians just dont want to do the real work of the people because we dont have our own lobbists.

Again, we got conflicting information from both agency's. Our I-129f was approved on Sept 14 and has not yet reached the NVC. The NVC says it is taking between 2-4 weeks from the time of approval before they receive it. The USCIS is saying that it's taking 30-60 days.

We still do not have an answer as to why they have our I-130 since according to them they did not request it back nor has our approval been revoked or that we are in AR. Even if they acknowledge tomorrow that they should not have it and send it back according to their time line 5 MONTHS WILL HAVE PASSED ON A APPLICATION THAT WAS NEAR COMPLETION AND ON IT'S WAY TO THE EMBASSY. .

With the new procedures can anyone tell me/help me with how we should go about asking them to give us priority processing at the NVC- and an early interview date since we are suffering because of either a USCIS error or an error their part.

I am not sure what you might do & I am concerned that mine will be just as ugly. Incredible to me that we have Preditor aircraft, space shuttles ect & we can not get simple documents from one place to the next.

I believe these agencys are just so busy & so inefficent that they are prone to losing these documents. The supervisor I spoke to at USCIS said the NVC mail room was huge, handling massive volume of material. However she indicated the bar codes should elliminate loss if the people used them correctly.

Lets hope for the best & see what some passage of time brings.

Again- another wasted day and no closer to an answer. I was hopeful as today out I-130 was "touched" so I has my husband call the USCIS- the call desk person put him on with a supervisor -who put him on with someone else only for us to be told the same information. I also stand corrected- they are not claiming they have it (the I-130)....only claiming "if" they do have it will be at the CSC. He was also told that since our I-130 was approved that they will not send our I-129f to the NVC- and that they are now saying it can be anywhere from 30-120 days for AN APPROVED PETITION TO MAKE IT'S WAY TO THE NVC. Are they sending them by bike courier?

How long can they keep us in limbo like this...
