K-1/K-2 AOS APPROVED IN ATLANTA MAY 17, 2006

10 year GC Approved - APRIL 16th ,2009 - Peggy and Jonathan's......

Still waiting for our cards...Had to file I-90 as they sent them to the wrong address.

March 9th, 2010, Received GC that has been lost in the mail for 10 months. Still waiting for my son's that is lost as well.

Filed Waiver for my son's 10 year GC and it was approved. He finally received his GC after its been missing for 2 years.

Thanking God this is over for 10 years.

The halal turkey question has me thinking. Theres a lot of halal meat stores out here and I don't have a hard time finding anything, but two stores I frequent each offer the same 2 kinds of chicken, both halal one is certified halal. My thinking is that the non certified is probably there at the halal meat stores because chicken is just allowed, and would be had I bought it elsewhere too. Given that that halal meat stores offer non-certified chicken, I'm wondering now if they will offer 2 kinds of turkey or if the turkey will be just as halal as the turkey in the other stores. I'm gonna be thinking about that next month.

I would like to proudly announce that my HUSBAND GOT HIS PASSPORT BACK WITH THE VISA ATTATCHED TO IT TODAY!!!!!!!!

I thought this day would never come. I know our wait was no where close to what some others have gone thru and continue to go thru, but, it felt like an eternity.

Maybe now that our case is out of the way, it will make some time for them to get busy on others cases and get them approved sooner. Inshallah!

We are planning on an arrival date of November 15th, anyone know of where I can purchase a halal turkey for Thanksgiving in Michigan?

To everyone still waiting, I hope you get some good news soon. I know the wait is hard, but in the end, the wait is worth it!

I think Amish turkey & chicken is good as well - it's all old-fashion raised & hand-slaughtered VS the mechanically tortured animals raised by factory farming.


The moral of my story: Stick with someone who matches your own culture.

( This coming from an Arab who married an Arab from overseas... go figure. )
