Hi all. Well we finally got married and got AOS started, so I might be back on now for a while again :) I need to post pics... Anywho, I went in and got my husband added to my insurance (I'm a med student, so its expensive). We decided to take out more of my student loan to cover this. Anywho, the lady doing this for me said everything is in order EXCEPT we have to prove that he is no longer covered by the NHS now that he is living here. I have NO idea where to find this information. I tried the NHS's website and couldnt find anything very useful/official looking. Nothing is printed on his card. Anyone have any ideas other than calling? Thanks!

You would think it'd be common sense, but since my hubby got here, I've realised how very little common sense applies in the USA :P

I wish I had a dollar for every time I've been asked if my husband speaks English. My new answer is "No, he speaks Scottish, it's like English but with more expletives."

Best of luck with the rest of your process ;)

Hehehe!

(On a serious note - that's ridiculous that anyone asks that!)

I don't know, there is a Scots guy living next door to our son and his family about a block away from us. He is from Glasgow and I'm sure he doesn't speak a word of English at least none that I can understand.
