can anyone help please , i am from uk and with fiancee at the moment and we are filling in i-129f form and sending it from here (st louis) do i need to put anything in question 19 were it asks"your fiance(e) will apply for a visa abroad at the american embassy or consulate at:".........not sure if i need to put "london , uk" in there or not and do i need to apply there as well as in chicargo????????????? any help is gratefully received

Well I'm not sure If I'm understanding. If you are filing for K-1 visa and filling out the I-129f you would need to send that to Nebraska, not Chicago.

Yes you would put London on line 19. No you do not need to file again in London. Your case will be transferred there by the USCIS to finish the process.

Don't mean to be rude but you seem to be a little lost. That or I'm not understanding. You might want to go to the guides here and the example forms to help you understand the process better.

Yes you send to nebraska and yes you put London as your consulate. You have to return to UK to wait out the process and have medical and interview. Please fill in your timeline and dont forget to update it when you hear anything, this is very important to the statistics section of this forum. Thank you and good luck in your journey

2 March 2006: NOA1 dated (received in mail on 9 March 2006)

4 May 2006: NOA2!!!!! (DAY 66)

8 May 2006: File Sent to NVC (as stated on email dated 9 May)

24 May 2006: NVC sends our file to London Embassy

8 June 2006: Packet 3 arrives (DAY 101)

25 August 2006: Pack 3 sent to London Embassy registered post

29 August 2006: London Embassy receives my Pack 3 - 9/9/06 pack 4 arrives

SEPT 2006:APPLICATION PUT ON HOLD - WE HAD A FALLING OUT.

It's a good idea to double-check with the NVC when they receive your application from the embassy -- it has happened (to me, and others) where the NVC decide to send the documentation to a different embassy!

If you can get confirmation that the application has left the embassy, try calling the NVC a few days afterward to see if they've received it & double-check where they plan on sending it after they've processed it.

09/27/05: Posted I-129F to VSC

09/30/05: Received NOA1 from VSC

10/08/05: NVC receives I-129F from VSC

11/28/05: Medical completed in Dakar

Welcome aboard the visa train. Next stop....wait ville....:time: and :guides: and watch the seasons change as we all ride by... Don't hesitate to ask a question, we're all in it together....never lose hope despite things will be well....probably the toughest thing you've ever had to do in your life...the pay off will be a lifetime of happiness in your partners arms.
