Hey there...I leave to Juarez on October 16-19th, which on the 18th is the actual interview date. I'm getting ready all of my documentations before I leave and meet my fiancee at Juarez and finally see her. But something is bothering me...

On the fiancee packet, it says "Forms DS-156 and DS-156k (in duplicate) (all signed except for DS-156k...to be signed at Consulate)

When it says "duplicate" this means have 2 original copies of this DS-156 and DS156k? Maybe its just me but I may be overthinking stuff..And something about men filling out the 156K document?

this is my list so far that I have:

Letter of interview

NOA2 hardcopy

Original and copy of my birth certificate

Letter of employement.

Pay stubs.

New updated letter of intent to marry

2 passport Photos

tax transcripts for the last 3yrs.

ONE DS-156 and 156K

Evidence of ongoing relationship, pics, phone cards, emails, ect.

Am I missing something? What else can you veterans recomend me? dont forget that DUplicate question.

Thanks guys, our destiny will be known in one week...

Hi

I know this can be a very stressful time, but try to relax. Now to answer your questions. . . Yes, fill out the DS-156 and the 156K in duplicate. Or better yet, why not take 4 copies (like my then fiance did). When my fiance was going to CDJ, I told him that it would be best to take extra copies of things, just in case. Since the forms were completed online, we simply printed out various copies. Also, make sure you fill out the forms online, because the 156 forms have to generate a bar code on them and it makes it easier for the people at Juarez to transfer data. You can go to this site, http://ciudadjuarez.usconsulate.gov/

My fiance signed all the forms until he was in Juarez in the presence of the CO. They told him where to sign.

Everyone who is applying for a fiance visa needs to fill out the DS-156K, not just men.

Your list looks good. Make sure to have copies of letters of intent from both of you. Also, birth certificates from both of you, just in case they\'re needed. Oh yeah, and I didn\'t see it on your list so I don\'t know if you\'re taking the I-134 affidavit of support form. It is not required at CDJ, but many of us who have gone to Juarez have taken it. It\'s fairly quick to fill out and it makes it easier for the CO reviewing your case. So you may want to prepare this form. You can find it here, http://www.uscis.gov/ For the evidence of relationship, do you have any airline boarding passes, stamps on your U.S. passport indicating visits to Mexico, credit card receipts for purchases made in Mexico, letters between you guys? My fiance took tons and tons of stuff, and not much was needed, but it sure felt better knowing he had everything he may need.

Good luck in Juarez, make sure to let us know how it goes. My husband and I will also be going for our interview, but our AOS interview on October 17th.
