I had my AOS interview in Cleveland OH on April 4, 2006. The gentleman that interviewed my husband and I told me that he was approving me to stay. He took my I-94 out of my passport and said that my green card would be in the mail to me within 2-3 weeks. I am heading home for Easter this weekend to Canada will I not need my I-94 to get back into the US along with my advance parole paper as i have not received my Green Card? I just don't want to have to stay up in canada after my weekend up there. If anyone has any thought on this it would sure put my mind at ease to know. Thanks

You wouldn't need you're old I-94, as it would get taken out of your passport when you left the U.S. anyway. As for the advance parole, I'm not sure of the legality of it or how sucessful it would be. I think I read of someone recently who sucessfully used theirs after being approved for their green card. Personally I would be reluctant to use it, but if it's ok, why not.

You need to make an infopass and get the stamp in your passport... you can not use your AP.... infact the interviewing officer should have taken it from you at the interview....

Have you recieved your Welcome to America letter yet? if you have thentake that with you to get the I-551 stamp in your passport....
