Boy security at the consulate has gotten strict. Most of us navigating the immigration process feel the same way as the people in the cartoon.

This does not and is not meant to lessen our outrage over the barbaric conditions faced by those people being held at GITMO.

I am from Vancouver as well and I think something is wrong with our application. My husband is from Seattle. We have started the application last November and in June NVC told us they had what was needed. Now I ma waiting for my interview but I see that others have received pakages that are supposed to be sent to Montreal - can you enlighten me?

Instead of asking your questions in an already started thread, you will probably want to start a new topic, in order for your question to get the best visibility. To do that, go to where you see the list of topics for Canada, and click on the "New Topic" button up top.

In regards to your question, though, there are different types of family based visas, since you are talking about the NVC, I'm assuming you filed for an IR1 or CR1 visa. In which case you don't receive a "Packet 3" like us K1 or K3 filers do.
